3d Arcade
Anyone else here use 3darcade? Its a brilliant 3d engine where you walk around a virtual arcade, walk up to the machines, watch the attract video, press 1 - the mame rom loads and your playing the game :) It really is brilliant :) find out more here: http://3darcade.mameworld.net/

Heres some images from what was an empty arcade, until I stuffed it full of cabs, and if you look closely in image4, you can see my old arcade cab, rendered too :)

That is a great way to really flesh out the retro experience. I was wondering if when you walk about the room if you hear any of the attract sound bits in the background? I have Gottlieb's Pinball Hall of Fame on PS2 which uses a similar arcade concept, and they utilized the attract sounds quite well. Tables like Black Hole, Genie, and Victory all surpass the VP versions.

Qix, you do indeed, theres an 80's style background noise, full of arcade beeps n stuff, kids running around etc...its very atmospheric :)
