Emulation section might be a good idea
As a frequent user of emulation for older games on the PC, I think a dedicated section might be a good idea. There are many emulators with different setups - some of which can get a bit confusing, so people like myself with a bit of experience could maybe offer some help and suggestions. Just an idea, because emulators are the purest form of retro game appreciation. Also some links to good emu sites would be very helpful, I think.

To be honest, I don't feel the need to play everything retro. I would rather hold back and try to track down a single elusive game than go down the route of emulation where you are swamped with hundreds of choices of what to play. I also feel a connection to games when I own the physical item that I don't when it's just a file on a computer. I understand that not everyone is so funny about these things. It's just the way I am.

Heres a wee story, when my wife left me all I owned was a PS2, now she had gone I had lots of spare cash so I bought: Sega Master System, Megadrive, 32X, Mega-Cd, Game Gear,Saturn, NES, Snes, N64, GBA, DS, PSX, Xbox, C64, Spectrum and built an arcade cab. It was great, I spent a fortune on rare games (such as snatcher on the saturn - which turned out to be all in japanese DOH!) I had six shelves FULL of games...then I hit money worries, it was then that I realised that most of this stuff was already sitting on my pc in emulated format, so I sold it all, its sad I know, I took me over a year to get all this then I went and sold it all. But now if I want to play snatcher I'll just play it emulated on my pc. Oh yes and I'll consider adding an emulation forum

I'd love to have my own space where I could have all the original consoles and computers setup but sadly as with most people I just dont have the room. For this reason I've had to go down the emulation route and thankfully a modded XB under the telly takes care of 99% of my needs. If you lack space and love the old systems then a modded XB is the way to go, I cant recommended it enough.

I lack the space for all my stuff, so I just make my wife suffer. Mind, I only have 3 or 4 consoles out at a time.
