Gamebase64
THE site for Commodore 64 games has to be www.gb64.com The site allows you to search for games and download them*, with lots of information on the people and companies that created them. There is also a forum. Downloading the Gamebase frontend allows you to set up emulators launch games with a single click. There are also Gamebases for other machines, like the ST and the SNES (projects maintained by other users, links are availabe) The big news is the imminent release of version 5 (the online database is version 4 at the moment). This will contain more than 20,000 games and will be appearing on various torrent sites shortly. A lot of new and recently released games have been added, along with fixes and credit changes. *Note that the online database will not allow you to download commercially available titles, such as the games from Protovision and Loadstar.

Thanks, subzero! Just to let you know that v5 is now online at www.gb64.com allowing you to search the database and download most of the extras. There will be a *torrent* available shortly. I just happen to have a DVD here with the full collection on, but I haven't had time to install it yet...

I just happen to have a DVD here with the full collection on, but I haven't had time to install it yet... I've stuck it on and it's well wicked. Despite having installed all the versions of this over the years I still struggle to get the 'Emulator wizard' to find any of the files. Got it working now and as always I never *quite* know how I managed it.
