Hello Hi
My name's Ian (I'm not sure where the nick zitpig came from, but I've been using it a lot recently) and I've been into computers and consoles since I was knee-high to a Hovis sandwich.
I pretty much own or have owned every machine from the Speccy to the Wii, with a few exceptions (XBox360 and I refuse to own a PS3 just yet, due to being a rational and level headed skint bloke that doesn't fritter away money on expensive doorstops).
I started my retro computer life before the term 8bit had even been invented, having got an Acetronic videogame console (think Atari VCS, only with fewer games). I then got an Amstrad CPC, speccy (together with unlimited access to a neighbour's C64), before moving up into the 16bit world with an Amiga A600 and pc. I also own a Megadrive (owned MegaCD too), MasterSystem, NES, 3xSNES, 2N64s, PS1, PS2, Jaguar, Saturn, XBox, GameVube, GBC, GBA, GBASP, 2xDS and most recently Wii.
I've been into programming since the CPC and have coded loads of games, demos and other bits and bobs - mainly in a retro style (ie chunky). I'm currently coding in BlitzMax, but have used AMOS, GamesFactory, Div, Blitz3D and PlayBasic.
I've been into emulation for years and really enjoy re-playing classics from yester-year, together with modern greats.
I'm a member of several retro communities and a Moderator at one of the largest on the net (RetroRemakes). As you can see, I take retrogaming very seriously.
Looking forward to looking backwards here at Relive Retro. :)

Howdy zitpig.
No PC Engine? Everyone should own a PC Engine.

I use an emulator for that. :)
Sadly it's the only machine never officially released in this country that I ever really wanted.
Importing (at the time) would have cost me a small fortune, that I just didn't have. And with a house full of computers and consoles now, trying to justify another old machine to my wife probably wouldn't be easy ;)

If you get a Super-CD version, you'll never regret it.

Welcome, Ian!
