My SFC Setup Well, I think I now have my Super Famicom set up just the way I want it, and I think it's as efficient a setup as I could want.
I found that a Euro Universal Adaptor does allow me to play my PAL games at 60Hz on it.
I also found that my old Jaguar PSU will power it fine (as I didn't get the Jap 10V DC adaptor), this took a bit of figuring out as I didn't want to blow the console up.
Finally I thought I would try my official RGB scart lead from my PAL Gamecube on the console, and it appears to work with a fully RGB picture. Nice.
Not sure if this info is of any use to anyone...

Yeah, it was useful... I noticed the connector was the same as the Gamecube cable, and hadn't got round to trying it.
I've got two different import adapters, meaning some games will work on one and not the other (it also depends on the piggyback cart used to bypass the security lockout)

I need a bit of advice about my Jap SFC. I want to play a PAL Mario Kart on it but no luck so far.
I've got a local/universal two slot adapter and also a bridge adapter. I've also got an NTSC Pilotwings - which i thought had the same chip - so what else do I need . . .
. . .and no smart remarks like "An NTSC version of Mario Kart" thank you very much . . .

I can try my PAL Mario Kart on my setup, I don't know if there is much difference between Universal Adaptors though.
It's a DSP chip in those games isn't it?

I've also bought a resistor and a switch to mod my PAL SNES to play 50/60Hz, so I'll see how that handles things too.
I just can't face playing anything at a crippled 50Hz anymore.

Yep.. it is. That's why I figured NTSC Pilotwings in local and my PAL Mario Kart in universal. Black screen is all I get . . .but i thought both those games used the same DSP chip.
Maybe not . . . :(

Well, Mario Kart runs; but there are some screen glitches. Looks like you do need a Jap version.
Super Dropzone finally arrived and is pretty good. I like the way there is no music, just sound effects. It appears to have been developed by Eurocom and Archer Maclean, so at least he appears to have been involved.
