PC Engine
Does the PC Engine go in the 8-Bit or 16-Bit section? It's a bit of both. And it's the grea-*test*-('") console ever.

I'd put it in 8 bit as the CPU was 8 bit. Even the failure Super Grafx, it's predesessor, was 8 bit.

Just goes to show how great a console it was with only 8 Bits to play with. Super Grafx was an "upgrade" to the original PCE, and by upgrade I mean it did a little bit more; but just in the exact same way. That's why it never caught on.

Hold on while I add a 'crap console that never worked on my telly' forum ;) Probably didnt work because the signal outputted would be a japanese signal. -I went out and bought a converted to convert the signal for my japanese Snes, Neo Geo and PC Engine- otherwise it all in black and white on a normal TV. -Its was ahead of its time -then it was released and has some great arcade conversions

Don't get me started on the PC Engine guys . . .it's my favourite console period but, in my wisdom, I decided to flog both my PC Engine and Turbo Duo when the Magic Engine emulator went near perfect . . . . . .oh dear, worst days work I ever did. Nothing wrong with the Magic Engine emu, mind you, but there's nothing like playing stuff on the original console. It'll cost me a bloody fortune to get a Turbo Duo back but . . . .ahhhhh . . .those great CD shmups 8) Arcade perfect ports on an 8-bit machine . . .sheer magic :!: (I could go on all day)
